Born and raised in Philadelphia, he embarked on his music career as a battle rapper.  The rapper has said in a tweet that he wants to organise a grand show in Africa. He didn’t state the reason why he wants to organise a show in Africa neither did he mention the country. Fans from different African nations on Twitter have been calling for the show to be held in their country, some where in November 2018 after the tweet. In another tweet somewhere June 2019, the rapper made his love for Ghana known via twitter ; "I want to ride bikes on a beach in Ghana" So Ghana is in a comfortable lead! Meek Mill’s African concert might be held in Ghana after tweeting once again that he wants to be in Ghana after the corona Pandemic.
